Mike wanted to light Chester on fire
Sunday, February 13, 2011

Interesting interview with Rockerrazzi where Mike talked about setting Chester on fire! Quoting Mister Shinoda:
You know, the economy being what it is, money is being a little tight for everybody... So we can't get the pyrotechniques we normally get so instead of that, I'm gonna just light Chester on fire. First show, we'll go big with this and we'll see what happen from there. I think it's gonna be pretty spectacular.

Did he know?

No, of course not. In my head it's going to be really fun and exciting and I see a lot... I mean, the screams of the song being really elevated, it's gonna be really awesome.

Interview with Chester on BBC1 Transcript
Thursday, August 5, 2010

Gemma on LPTimes has transcribed the interview of Chester with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1. Here's some parts concerning Mike

And so, another interesting thing that we did on this record is Mike - his vocals have become really strong and so on The Catalyst, you'll hear that I might not sound like myself in parts thats because of Mike's singing. And so we blended the vocals to kind of fade in and out of going from Mike to me, back to Mike and then back to me. It's a very cool thing that we've done on this record.

***

I have to take my hat off to Mike Shinoda. He really is the driving force in creatively music wise. People are always asking me what our secret is and I usually don't tell them because I don't want them to talk to Mike. I really think he is the most talented person I've ever met and I think he is probably the most talented song writer we have in the industry right now.

Some nice quotes to put into our quotes archive :)

On another note, LPAssociation posted two press articles for A Thousand Suns that Linkin Park themselves wrote. Inspiring and powerful speeches that once again prove how respectable this band is. Recommended for any Linkin Park fan fellow out there. You can read those articles HERE

Ustream chat with Mike and Chester
Friday, April 2, 2010

You are asking yourself "What is going on?" No need to query your sanity, I am asking myself that question too. It's not my fault that after Bennoda going on hiatus, suddenly these two guys decided that they would have a chock-full Bennoda video chat with their fans. Like they said, too much awesomeness happening, and how can we - THE Bennoda site, skip that?

March 31, 2010: Mike and Chester did an impromptu chat with their fans on Ustream. You can watch the recorded video here:

Or DOWNLOAD it HERE (.flv file, 35 mb)

***

So many Mike/Chus moments going on here. The highlights of the chat:

-Mike's pigtails and him asking Chester if he should cut his hair (and Chester's "No, let that shit grow, yo.")

-Describe 8 bit rebellion in one word? "Ice cream sandwich?" (Sure it's not 3 words if you put them all together ;)) and their infamous highfive.

-I'm also a fan of that 7 second snippet of "Blackbirds". I miss listening to those two guys together in one song, and a potential good song for that matter! "The best 7 seconds of my life." Yeah right Chester.

-"Smile again so I can die." I cringed and DIED hearing that. Gosh, women, if you can fangirl that hard in front of them, why don't ask them to give us some Bennoda Mountain action!

-"The hair doesn't make the man. The man makes the hair." Oh no, Michael, it doesn't work like that anymore. People have been urging those guys to go back to blonde/red spiked hair for ever! Mike - nope, but I approve blond Chester (not bald Chester).

-Mike: "We would do choreograph like... It looks choreographed. That's people actually asked. By the way, it wasn't actually choreograph. We just happen to be bobbing up and down like idiots on beat together." Freudian slip! We knew it! Linkin Park is a boyband with choreographed moves! (Did he visit LPfiction or Bennoda and read what we talked about them? ;))

-I am another fan of "Precious". Chester: "It's amazing. It makes me feel like crap." Don't you just wanna give him a hug?

-"Kill me. I'm fangirling." I CRINGED and DIED again. I know we were all fangirling when joining that chat or watching that vid, but hearing that coming out from Mike and Chester's mouths. How embarrassing!

-Chester's scream, did that kill your ears?

-Chester wants a tattoo of Mike's face on his body! And his pose for Mike's look - you cannot find a guy with better facial expression than him, I love this guy!
Mike: "Can I draw? I'll draw me and then you can put the drawing of me by me on your... whatever."
Michael, in case you don't remember, Chester already has that Hybrid Soldier tattoo drawn by you on him. Mike wanted to have a 'sneak peek' picture of him on Chester's neck, but Chester had a better idea: letting Mike poking out of his pants! Mike, like usual, refused to be put on top of Chester's crotch, but his "No, it's not cool. Yes, I mean..." babble already said the truth. Just say it if you want to get into Chester's pants, we will support you all the way.

-Did someone say some nasty thing about Mike's ears? (It's time, ha)

-Mike and his "Oopps" moments. Chester's favorite app is the converter? Smart shit, brother. Why does he even have that Shakespeare application? If you want to hear Chester reading Shakespeare, tune in.

-Poor dearest Mark. They stole his chat, his very first LPU chat.

-The "Fuck fuck fuck" moment and Mike went "Ooops" again. How gay adorable!
Chester: "You're a grown up man."
Mike: "I am. I'm like thirty some- I mean I'm like twenty something years old. I can curse."
You're trying too hard, Mikey boy. The other day someone told me Mike looks like he's in his 40s. Holy cow, he needs a haircut and a good shave.

The silly earthquake was silly. But not as silly as how the chat ended. Spammers, you pissed off the holy Shinoda.

***

All the eye-contacts and laughing and silly jokes of them make me miss Bennoda so much. Hope the guys will come back soon and I cannot wait to got my hands on "Blackbirds."

Nice day, everyone. We're back to 'ON HIATUS' (this is like a divorce with benefits, we're on hiatus, but come back sometime for important posts, how lame >.>)

HeraldSun interview with Chester
Thursday, October 15, 2009

Herald Sun had a great interview with Chester where he revealed about his current work and mentioned his Shinoda boy

Shinoda has helped Bennington temper any grand expectations.

"He's given me a lot of good advice," Bennington says. "Don't go out there expecting to be treated like you're Linkin Park, which I think a lot of the guys in the band may assume - 'We're gonna go out there and have another project and it's gonna be HUGE!'

"I appreciate that. Mike is one of the coolest people I've ever known. He's one of my best friends. I love him to death, he's an amazing guy, super-talented, so anything he tells me, I pretty much listen to."

Aww, we need more love confession like this. You make the world so fluffy, Sir. Fluffington, and we love you for that. Read the whole article/interview HERE

Pedal to the Metal - Chester's interview with Taipei Times
Tuesday, July 7, 2009

Chester's interview with Taipei Times - Taiwan

Pedal to the metal
By Ron Brownlow
STAFF REPORTER
Wednesday, Jul 08, 2009, Page 14

Taipei Times: In the late-1990s, after listening to a demo, you quit your job and moved your family to California to join Lincoln Park. What made you do that?

Chester Bennington: A little man that lives inside my head [pauses for effect]. I’m a very emotional person, I’m a very gut kind of guy. I would say that in a lot of ways if you looked at how [Linkin Park’s other frontman] Mike Shinoda looks at things and how I look at things, we probably look at things in two different ways but we somehow come to the same conclusion. So I didn’t analyze it very much. I find that when I just go with my gut and I just go with the whisper that’s in my heart, in my head, it generally tells me the right choice to make. When I over-analyze I find myself in trouble. So when I heard the demo I was like, “I’ll go out there.” When I heard the music I knew right away that it was nothing like anything I had ever heard before. That sometimes can be really bad [laughs]. In this case it was really good, and right when I heard the music all sorts of really great melodies started popping into my head and I was like, “This is a sign. I need to go, I need to do this. I need to go out there. This is the real deal.”

And when I moved out there I did see that it was the real deal. From the very first day of practices we were already a kick-ass bad. I was like, “This is a no-brainer. This is my chance. I’m only going to get one opportunity to do this. I want to do this with my life and if I don’t take chances to make it happen then it’s not going to happen.” So I quit my job, moved out, moved to Mike Shinoda’s couch, lived in the back of my car, in a really shitty apartment that had the roof cave in on it. And while doing that pretty much made a record that changed six guys from various parts of southern California and one guy from Arizona’s life completely for the rest of their existence [laughs]. It could have very easily turned out to be nothing at the same time. It could have been a fine experience and I could tell my grandkids, “Yeah, at one time I moved out to California to try to be in this band.” It could have been one of those things too. But I knew somewhere inside, something told me, “This is the one, you need to go.”

Someone write me a young, struggling LP fic please?

This interview is pretty interesting. Tell us some anecdotes of Linkin Park when they just started out, how they rose to fame with their effort and Chester's own hard time back in 05, 06. Also, it's confirmed that Rick Rubin will be their producer for the next album. Rick is a great producer and with MTM, he surely got to know Linkin Park, so we could only hope that the boys will pull off an uber amazing album this time and don't let the fans down. Read the rest of the interview HERE for more information.

Mike and Chester interview with MTV 25 June 09
Saturday, June 27, 2009

Mike and Chester had an interview with MTV about New Divide, Dead By Sunrise and their upcoming semi-conceptual album.

What they have to say about Chester's solo project:

And that "different" music starts with Bennington's Sunrise, a long-in-the-works project that the singer says will finally see the light of day in September. And in keeping with what Shinoda was saying, Bennington is warning Linkin Park fans to prepare to be shocked by what they'll hear. Oh, and to fire up their black lights too.

"There's a stylistic thing that's different. With Linkin Park, we have a signature sound — you know it when you hear us. [Dead by Sunrise] does not have that feel. It has a completely different feel. Trying to describe that difference is like trying to describe the difference between Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, you know?" he said. "They're both rock, but they're different styles. I'm confident in saying this next record is going to be the most challenging ... and complex and intriguing music that has come out of the Linkin Park camp. It's really dark. It's like post-apocalyptic 'Blade Runner' meets LSD."

"I have to say, I'm really proud of Chester — he has his own style. ... You know how they say you can turn on Pink Floyd and 'The Wizard of Oz' and they go together?" Shinoda added. "You'll want to put this record on with 'Blade Runner' and 'Tron.' "

"Or 'Blade Runner' and 'Tron' and 'A Clockwork Orange,' all at the same time," Bennington laughed.

Yet another time Mike has to voice out how much he's proud of his boy. Yes, we know Mike. We know ;)

KROQ advertisement - Mike and Chus feeling sexual.
Saturday, March 7, 2009

"Hey, this is Chester. And this is Mike, from Linkin Park. We're feeling sexual right now. And you're listening to KROQ."

Do you listen to KROQ often? Have you heard that line?

Umi reported that the other day, when she was streaming KROQ via internet, she caught our boys doing this small advertisement for KROQ. Doesn't it make you feel excited?

If you have heard that too, tell us. If you have that recorded, contact us, please (pretty please with naked Bennoda on top, and Bourdie as a bonus :3). I have tried to contact KROQ but I doubt that they will ever look at my little fangirl email (their email is likewecare at kroq dot com. yay?). Maybe we should bombmail them? I don't know. Anyway, this quote is interesting, and I guess you guys may wanna know that something Bennoda might have happened during this silent period of Linkin Park. Happy dayz!

Toronto Skydome quote and .gif animation
Sunday, February 15, 2009

Quote from the Toronto, Skydome, 20.10.01 show:

Mike: "Where all the rowdy people at? I heard Canada was a bunch of sissies."

Chester: "Ooohh Mike…you fucking.."

Mike: "I heard it, I can’t help it."

Chester: "Mike’s an asshole."

Mike: "I heard you were a bunch of sissies. What are you going to do? What are you going to do?"

Chester: "I wanna see these fuckers prove that asshole wrong."

Mike: "Are you going to prove me otherwise? Come on."

*After A Place For My Head*

Mike: "So what's up you guys?"

Chester:*singing* "I'm your puppet."

Mike: "We wanna know if you guys are still out there cause you're getting kind of quiet."

Chester: "I think they’re tired already man, I think they…"

Mike: "Like I said, like I said you know, you need to show you us you’re not a bunch of sissies…I know, I know I’m just being hard on you guys."

Chester: "Ok on the count of three everybody say ‘fuck you Mike’ 1, 2, 3"

‘FUCK YOU MIKE!!’

Mike: "That is the loudest you've been all night."

Chester: "Fuck yeah!"

Mike: "Everybody say ‘fuck you Chester’ 1, 2, 3."

‘FUCK YOU CHESTER!!’

Chester: "Fuck you guys! You bunch of sissies!"

That reminds me of an interview I watched a while ago called 'Why sissies are so great?'. Sissies are great, that's it. Thanks Shela for this awesome quote, and she also brings to you a beautiful Chester/Dave/Mike threesome .gif animation. You're our new star, Shela!

Toronto Skydome 20.10.01
Friday, February 13, 2009

Toronto, ON, SkyDome, Family Values Tour, 20th October 2001 show: a scandalous concert! I am not even kidding.

Mike: “We wanna to play an old song for you tonight, something that is not on the album. So for all you people that said you have the album, this is something that you don’t have. Are you excited about that? Alright.”
Chester: “I know I am!”
Mike: “Chester’s excited--”
Chester: “Wooaaa Bernie!”
Mike: “When Chester gets excited like this every night, cause I touch his bum.”
*touch Chester’s ass* “You wanna touch Chester’s bum? …You guys help us out on this next one and I’ll let you touch Chester’s bum.”

Yes, they said those things. Fair deal. Mike Shinoda is definitely sharing type. Thank you Michael! You can watch/download the video of said moment HERE (.avi file, 14.4 mb)

Preview:

mike touched chester's bum

A big thank-you to Chazwu for finding out this show, and the super Shela for the preview .gif and the quote.

But that's not the only thing happened.

[+]You can re-download the 'Fuck you Mike Fuck you Chester' moment in quite good quality this time without the whole performance of APFMH like the last download we provide: HERE (.avi file, 18.9 mb)

[+] Totally non-Bennoda, but slashy nonetheless. Anyone remember this moment *points at the .gif image below*?

Chus jumped Dave

Our dearest Chester was on crack. He danced. He showed off some crazy moves. He jumped Dave (in this video, you can watch the moment above in another angle) then Mike went by and smiled at both of them, and it seems like Mike waved Chester, and Chester dropped off Dave and chased after Mike (too bad the taper didn't tape this part). And then, Chester came back, stood by Brad and started stroking Brad's injured foot (watch the full show, you will know why I say 'injured'). I have nothing to say but : Chester, you are a promiscuous boy/crackhead/he who would break Mike's heart (literally) someday/*insert that S-word here* SO AWESOME. Download the video with all those moments (sans the dance) HERE (.avi file, 25.1 mb)

Anyone who's interested in this show can download the DVD on linkinparkmedia.com HERE (only about 1.5 gb)

Update on Chester's chat 23rd Jan, 2009
Saturday, January 24, 2009

Update on the LPU chat with Chester Bennington, one dearest half of Bennoda, on January 23rd, 2009. Well, one Bennoda-related question was asked and passed! But Chester's reply kind of made everyone confused.

hiddentalentz says to (17:26):Chester, back when you were on Loveline in April, Bennoda Mountain was mentioned. Any new thoughts on that?
chesterbennington says to (17:28):hiddentalentz- that was a long time ago.
chesterbennington says to (17:28):we're on to new things

You guys are on to new things? Like what? Running to Las Vegas and getting married by an Elvis impersonator? Sound like great plan!

Silly jokes aside, he also mentioned how he encountered emotional difficulty when he tried to performed Breaking The Habit

JenJen says to darknessovrme (16:40):I would like to know what song is hardest on you either emotionally or physically to perform and why?
chesterbennington says to (16:41):jenjen- emotionally -when we wrote “Breaking The Habit”, it was hard to sing but I got over it. Physically- “Given Up” and “Crawling.”
chesterbennington says to (16:41):I think those ones are more obvious

and his favorite Linkin Park video so far is Breaking The Habit.
Tiff07 says to (17:03):Out of all the LP music videos, which one is your favorite thus far?
chesterbennington says to (17:04):tiff07- hmmm....I still have to say “Breaking The Habit” is the best video

and how their lyrics mean so much to him and Mike
Q_Dizzle says to chesterbennington (17:38):Numb was pretty much the song that made me a fan of you guys and is still to this day my favorite song of all time (I have it as my ringtone actually). Just out of curiosity, does that song mean anything special to you or to any of the other band members?
chesterbennington says to (17:39):q-dizzle- “Numb”- well all the songs have special meaning to us, every song has special meaning to us, especially me and Mike on the lyrics since we're writing them.

Other than that, Chester also said he thinks he would make a great teacher. His solo album will hopefully be released this September. New Linkin Park album will have about 8 songs (-_-) His drink of choice is Jet Fuel. They will open a Club Tattoo in Texas. He may try to rap in the future (lol, he did, IPT and lollipop, anyone?). He also doesn't know why he himself is such a nice guy (-_-) and the guys dislike haters on fansites as well as gossips (oooh gossipy things, what about Bennoda?). He admits that he's turning into an old guy but will always be young mentally, and that he's 16 in his brain. That's quite an amazing chat. Read the whole chat transcript HERE. Thanks Naz for posting it on the board!

Oklahoma: Chester, give yourself some credit!
Sunday, December 14, 2008

Ford Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 29th February 2008, North American Arena Tour: Chester was sick, but at the same time, Linkin Park had one of the most touching performances ever. The way the fans encouraged Chester to keep on singing shows a powerful bond between the band and their loyal fans, and the way Mike encouraged Chester shows a beautiful relationship between the two co-singers.

Mike: "How you guys out there feeling right now? You're feeling pretty good? You sound great. And you sound great too, mister. Mister Chester."

Chester: "It sounded a hell a lot better than I do."

Mike: "Does anybody else wanna call bullshit on that right now? Not to-not to put - it's not a judgement call on you guys cause you guys are just singing your hearts out and we do appreciate that and we love you guys. But come on, man, give yourself some fucking credit up here."

Chester: "Alright, alright..."

Mike: "For the fucking big rockstar that he is, he sure beats up on himself a lot and I hate to see that because you kick ass, bro."

Chester: "I'm fragile- "

Mike: "You kick ass."

Chester: "...I'm a fragile man."

You sure can kick a hell lot of ass, Chester. And you too mister Mike, way to cheer up your boy. That's so adorable. Download the audio file of said conversation HERE.

Thanks Giggawhat11 for this and Shela for correcting the quote. Respect!

Albuquerque: Chester is the best singer in rock 'n' roll
Saturday, December 13, 2008

Journal Pavilion, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 6th August 2008: a make-up date for a show canceled earlier the same year when Chester was sick. Chris Cornell, who Chester claimed to be one of the best rock 'n' roll singers in the world, didn't come out and join Linkin Park for Crawling. Mike used this chance to tell his co-frontman that Chester himself is indeed the best in rock 'n' roll. Another sweet moment showing the respect Mike and Chester hold for each other, their deep friendship and maybe something more than that ;)

Mike: "Hey Chester, you're the best singer in rock 'n' roll. That's you."

Chester: "Fucker...I'm blushing, dude. Thanks a lot."

Mike: "Second best though tonight especially, is these guys. Listen I'm telling you."

Chester: "Yeah..."

Download the audio file of "In The End" from said show HERE to listen to the lovely conversation between our couples. And if someone's interested in the amazing Hands Held High rapping over reanimated intro of Crawling + Chester awesome performance of this song without Chris + Mike saying "Hey Chester" (props to anyone who cut those audio files, ha, you just gotta part an awesome quote into two songs), download "Crawling" HERE

A picture came along with this show's SBD CD

Thanks Jaclyn for the tip and Shela for the quote. You guys rock hardcore!

Mike: "Chester actually gave me a painting for.. this year. It's my first Chester Bennington's. It's on my wall. It's pretty awesome. And it turns out that Chester is pretty damn good at painting."

Mike fucking Shinoda and others
Sunday, August 31, 2008

From Jen(AmB)/chester-land.net's review on the Blossom Music Center, Cuyahoga Falls, OH show, 19th August 2008:
Chester waited until Mike sat down at the piano to say “Give it up for Mike fucking Shinoda.” Mike chuckled and said that fucking was now his middle name then went on to talk to the crowd for a couple minutes about MTM and that they were about to play Leave Out All The Rest. He also talked about how after Projekt Rev finished they’ll be going to China in October then coming back to the US to go into the studio to start working on their next album. He sounded kinda bummed that they didn’t have any new material to play for us. Once he was done cell phones and cigarette lighters went into the air as they began to play LOATR. Next came Numb and Shadow Of The Day.

From Andrew's report on this moment:
The reason Mike's middle name is "Fucking", is because Chester said "Give it up for Mike fucking Shinoda!" and Mike replied something like "That's funny, I changed my middle name to 'Fucking' right before the show."

Sound quite lovely, innit?

MTV Master M-m-m-Mike Shinoda and Chelvis
Thursday, August 21, 2008

Thanks Iris for uploading this small part from MTV Master (2007) where Chester and Mike talked about each other on YoouToob. You can watch it here:

Download of the hires video of this moment is available HERE: (.avi file, 17 mb, converted directly from DVD quality .vob file)

This is mostly an experimental thing, but thanks Iris for her suggestion about making subtitles for this video. The dialog is pretty short so subtitles are not exactly necessary, but we still want to give it a try and see people's reaction on using subtitles files - who knows this maybe useful for longer videos in the future. Download the sub file HERE (.srt file, 1 kb).

It will be very easy to use this file if you have VLC media player (this is a free world-wide-famous recommended media player). Click on Settings > Preferences > +Video > +Subtibles/OSD > Browse (choose the subtitles .srt file) > Save. Close the window and play the video, the subtitles will work perfectly for you.

If you find this too complicated, here's the conversation translated by Iris (lmao)
Chester: "Well.. Uhm.. Mike Shinoda aka Spike Minoda aka Shinizzle aka... Mike"
Mike: "Chestah.. The.. uh... mascot of the band is Chester Bennington aka.. Uhm.. Elvis"
Chester: "M-M-M-Miiike Shinoda. That's another nickname."
Mike: "I can not reveal why we call Chester Chelvis."
Chester: "The best thing about Mike.. Uhm.. You know, Mike has got a pretty, a really good sense of humour. He is pretty sharp."
Mike: "The best thing about Chester is that he is really passionate and the worst thing is that he is really passionate."
Chester: "The most annoying thing about Mike? Uhm.. I can't stand his talking about the pimple on his nose for a couple days anymore. That's really annoying. He is probably going to punch me for saying that."
Phoenix: "He will never see that."
Chester: "Yes!"

Rafu Shimpo interview and Ya? moment
Tuesday, August 12, 2008

Rafu Shimpo Online had an interview with Mike about his artshow: The Excesses of Mike Shinoda click the link, they have a pretty Mike pic, in which Mike mentioned Chester:

RAFU: Can you talk a little about your shoes and your scholarship at Art Center?

MS: This month, I’m releasing a new sneaker with DC Shoes. I designed the shoe with my art, including a clear sole with 4-color artwork underneath. They’re really unique.

It’s going to be a limited run, so I’ve been encouraging fans to get them quickly before they run out. The information about where to buy is up on www.dcshoes.com/shinoda. We’ll be selling some on www.mikeshinoda.com as well. My bandmate Chester called them “the perfect shoe!” Proceeds from the shoe—and my art show—benefit my scholarship at Art Center College of Design, my alma mater. The scholarship benefits illustration and design students based on merit and financial need.

A 150$ pair of shoes (excluding shipping fee) should be perfect, ya?

YA? Oh yes, thanks our glorious Shela for sharing with us this moment she captured from her show in Irvine, 10th August 2008. Chester compared Mike to his little son Draven. That's so adorable!
Chester: "My son Draven does this thing where he said something like 'I can have a candy? Right? Ya?' ...Mike just did that."

Mike: "I call myself out..."

Chester: "Good show? Ya?"

Watch the video here:

or download it HERE (.avi file, 3.4 mb). According to Shela, Chester also gave Mike some compliment after Hands Held High.

Arizona Republic interview with Chester and Machine Head
Wednesday, August 6, 2008

From The Arizona Republic's interview with Chester: Linkin Park's project still mixing it up, Larry, the interview asked one question about Mike and Chester's relationship:
Q: Recent reviews say your onstage interaction with Mike has gotten more intense and theatrical. Could you talk about your performing relationship?

A: It's interesting that you say that because I've been feeling that I almost neglect Mike a little bit. We're so in a pocket, we don't even come across each other. The whole band is moving fluidly, we've been playing so many shows that we are kind of like a machine up there. . . . On this tour we broke the production down. It's (simply) a backdrop and lights. It's all about the band.

Wot, Chester?

And this has nothing to do with Bennoda, but it's too good to be ignored: Machine Head on Linkin Park, interview with Metal Hammer August 5th 2008
Q: IT MUST HAVE REALLY SUCKED TO SEE MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE HEADLINING DOWNLOAD LAST YEAR WHEN YOU PLAYED ONLY FOURTH TO LINKIN PARK.
by ANDREW CARRINGTON, VIA EMAIL
...
Robb: "And we stomped Linkin Park into oblivion. I mean they need those big pop headliners, obviously, that's why they're able to pull so many different things in. There's nothing like Download in America, nothing that diverse. In America everything's gotta be the same, it's bands like Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance and bands like that."
Hammer: Is there a place for bands like Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance then?
Robb: "Yes. Under my fucking foot!"

Linkin Park bashing is pure entertaining. Too bad, Robb from Machine Head here sounds so much like a jealous dumbass that he chops off some of my fun. Try harder next time, baby.

MAA and Charlotte quote
Sunday, August 3, 2008

Got the quote from the Charlotte show where Chester praised Mike's talent (again)
Chester: "Make some noise for Mike Shinoda, man. Here every once in a while I have to say all the nice thing I can about this guy. He's so fucking talented, man. Make some noise for him."
Mike: "Thank you guys very much. Good night!

This is from the DVD that Jack on LPlive.net uploaded for us. Thank you for sharing, man. Video of this moment will be available later when I can trim this part out of the whole .vob file, so keep in tune. Here are some screencaps, and they look amazing (the Bennoda, not the quality, lol) and from this angle it looks like Mike was giving Chester a kiss and then grabbed his ass (it was not like that, but it won't hurt to imagine, aye?)

Also, Linkin Park has won the MTV Asia Award for Favourite International Artist of Asia. Unfortunately, they were not there so Mike and Chester had to accept the award through a video and our dearest Pussycat Dolls also accepted it on behalf of Linkin Park (and with the mention of PCD in the Charlotte M&G story, maybe there is a little too much Pussycat in Linkin Park's life right now). Watch the video here:

Download the vid above HERE (.avi file, 3.5 mb) or download on LPtimes.

Berlin moment, LOATR mentioning
Saturday, July 5, 2008

Thanks Chasy for this Bennoda moment from Berlin, Germany. Good quality, she was really close to the stage and you can have perfect view of the couples' asses and Mark Fiore (woah, there lol). If you haven't downloaded the video with Chasy's link in the forum yet, then you can download it HERE (.avi file, 8.9 mb). Once again, thank you so so much Chasy, for such an awesome video.

This is pretty late, but Chester said something about Mike and Leave Out All The Rest in this interview with Energy Star Talk (too bad there's German voiceover). Thanks Iris for writing in about this.
ENERGY: LOATR is you new single. What is it about?
Chester: Well everyone has his own interpretation. Mike didn't want to tell me what he thought when he wrote the song. So when I hear the song it's about being at the end of the road, at the end of the life or at the end of a relationship. And you want to remember on the good and on the bad things which happened. It's a little bit more deep.
