MSC posted a new article on Rolling Stone magazine this month discussing Linkin Park's new album and the challenge they encountered with this record.
"We realized it doesn't matter what the songs sound like - if it comes from us, it's Linkin Park."
The lyrics, which tackle themes of conflict and fear - are the result of Rubin's suggestion that Bennington and the group's other vocalist, Mike Shinoda, free-associate over the loops. "I want them to write from the subconscious instead of the intellectual mind," says Rubin.
Bennington thinks the next record will come faster "I wanna go do 50 shows and then get right back into the studio," he says "It's all I want. It's like a drug."
I truly respect the way this band is concerning more and more about their artist's integrity and make it their priority in writing music. No matter how the album will come out, they already have gained my support. It seems like the writing session is great fun for all of them. Chester, we here at Bennoda may know why you think it's like a drug ;) Nice picture of Mike and Chester in the studio - and if you notice, Mike has once again sported that infamous shirt.

Linkin Park support same-sex marriage? The answer is yes.TMZ.com reports on stars contributing money to fight Prop 8. Prop 8 or Proposition 8 is titled Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry Act. If passed, the proposition would amend the California Constitution to remove the legal ability of same-sex couples to marry. Read more

"No on Prop 8" fundraiser at Gallery 1988 in Hollywood (note: this is also where Mike's first artshow took place) on Sunday, members of Linkin Park are spotted along with other stars like Pete Wentz and Sarah Chalke.
Although wife Ashlee Simpson (who is about to pop) was nowhere in sight, the Fall Out Boy showed up at a No on Prop 8 fundraiser at Gallery 1988 in Hollywood on Sunday. Other civil rights supporters in the house included "Scrubs" star Sarah Chalke and members of Linkin Park.
This piece of news warms my heart, knowing that my favorite band are helping fight an act against same-sex marriage like Prop 8. For everyone else, you can go to

Enough fun, come back to the news. In Kerrang issue this week, Chester answered some fan questions, some of them about himself and Mike.
If you were to switch bodies with Mike [Shinoda] for day, what things would you get up to?

"Mike is one of the most talented people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He's a genius. I'd like to be Mike in his studio for a day and work out how he does his things so well. He's so creative, so I'd steal some of his ideas and freak him out with them the next day. I'd be like,: 'You know that song you were thinking about? Here it is. Oh, and that painting you were thinking of doing? I already did that too.'"
When was the last time Chester and Mike had a fight and what was it about?

"I don't think I have ever fought with Mike. I've never even really had an argument with him. We all get along so well. Having said that, when I used to drink, apparently I wasn't much fun to be around - I, on the other hand, thought I was awesome. But, rather than confront me about it or have an argument, the other guys basically just wouldn't hang out with me. Most of the things I used to get upset about then turned out, in the end, to be my fault anyway. I'd go crazy over things, screaming, 'Who smashed pudding all over my face when I was sleeping in my bunk. You're all assholes!'. Then, six months later, I'd remember that I bought the pudding at the drive-through when I was drunk and passed out while I was eating it. So, oops, sorry guys."
